I've read other reviews of this kind of frosting, and some people put the bowl into the fridge until it get stiffer (a good 15-30 mins). You can then fluff it back up with your mixer. Maybe these instructions are more clear: http://whisk-kid.blogspot.com/2010/08/how-to-make-swiss-meringue-buttercream.htmlSarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04540657332826963453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4098239917708850731.post-64671704126968776822010-09-25T18:08:38.040-04:002010-09-25T18:08:38.040-04:00I tried to make the frosting and it stayed a soupy...I tried to make the frosting and it stayed a soupy mess. I will have to rethink the buttercream but I am sure I can come up with something.

Thanks for sharing, looks delish!Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04451390929588351594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4098239917708850731.post-26066113768835429072009-09-11T12:57:53.576-04:002009-09-11T12:57:53.576-04:00Well, if you want a regular chocolate frosting, I ...Well, if you want a regular chocolate frosting, I have a separate (of course) recipe for that. It's sooooo yum. Down-home style as opposed to fancy. This buttercream was way diff than I'm used to, but I love it enough to go looking for more variations of flavor and technique. I still love your original buttercream frosting - it's my go-to recipe, but I'm guessing John will want to try this one since it's got chocolate in it...Alycia Cummingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03549398201337541022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4098239917708850731.post-23749435626023940252009-09-11T10:35:14.458-04:002009-09-11T10:35:14.458-04:00Those look awesome.
