This stuff is supposed to be pretty dang amazing, so I'm trying it out for us.  I'll totally let you know what we think after a couple of weeks, okey doke?

Color-Indecisive

Because, apparently, all I blog about are:  Recipes, Rory, and Hair Color.

Today, I'm really loving on this mix of shades.  Really dark at the roots, and some front pieces "fade" out to lighter ends.  The lady I'm seeing on Saturday is supposed to be great with color, so I'll see what kind of deer-in-the-headlights face she makes when I show her these photos :)

All We Ever Do is Say Goodbye

Ok, not really.  But the John Mayer song I'm listening to keeps repeating that phrase over and over again.  Nice and cheery like, isn't it?

Just a few tidbits and updates going on in Sara Land...

I had a fantastically long chat last night with Mellisa (over at her blog), and part of our 2-hour ramblings was about blogging and our personal blogs.  I whined about how I'm sad that I never seem to post anymore, other than my Friday recipe posts.  Life just seems to be getting away from me and getting away fast.  I love writing for a handful of reasons, and when I don't post, I feel the same kind of yearning that I do when I don't play my piano.

I hate to complain that Sarandipity business is picking up, but holy cow, it is.  (Sidenote:  Anyone out there seeking an internship that pays only in cake pops?  I might know someone who knows someone who's hiring.)  I'm totally scared for myself in anticipation of the holiday season.  (Sidenote:  I might also know someone who knows someone who really should hire someone to smack her over the head everytime she says Yes when she shouldn't.)  On a completely happy note, I've officially hired a graphic artist to create a new logo for me!  She'll be doing new logos for the sucker bags, for Etsy, and a few other places.  I can't wait!!  I'll totally post the logos here when she's finished!

Oh - another fun thing!  I have an appointment this Saturday to get my hairs did.  I'm hoping that this lady (my second new hair dresser so far here in Atl) is all the amazing goodness that I grew accustomed to with Tamara in San Diego.  So, we're back to the age-old dilemma:  what color?  You'll remember way back that I posted a whole scary collection of photos of my rainbow of previous colors.  I totally love me some red hair, but I'm currently leaning toward a more auburn or chocolate shade of red - maybe like these?

(I like their hair, not them.)
(Yeah, don't judge.)

Other than that excitement, there isn't a whole lot of new going on here.  The weather kindly gave me some cool temps and rain over the weekend, and I nearly cried in gratitude.  It's nearly October, and we're still consistently having 90-degree weather.  It's time for the cold and gray, already!

Blink and You'll Miss It

So obviously I'm not the best of listeners. I ask you all for advice and then go and don't take it. Completely dumb, don't you think? And we all just love a person who solicits advice and then goes and doesn't take a lick of it. Ho hum boring yawn. But for whatever reason, it wasn't Drastic Change Day when I got my hair did, so I'm going with the flow.

I did add more highlighty coppery pieces, but I'm letting the rest continue to fade and lighten in the sun. Sometimes, my hair is a journey what with all the fading and the coloring and the fading and the coloring. I'm kinda very interested to see where this journey will take me. (Certainly not back to my natural color, gasp!)

Sorry to create such suspense. I'll try to take more cute dog or Cupcake Pops photos for you as a token of apology. Will that buy your mercy, dear readers?

Rainbow Results

Well, there aren't any really.

You all picked different choices for different reasons. Ha!

But, my hair appointment is tomorrow, so I'll have my fabulous hair-lady whip out the book of color swatches to see what would work best with my current color(s) and the season. You will definitely, definitely get a pic of it, but purty please don't get antsy. It takes a good couple of washings for my color to calm down and for my curls to get happy again. So, it won't be until later next week that you get a picture. I'm all about instant gratification myself, but I refuse to post a pic until my locks start behaving themselves.

Rainbow Fright

First off, apologies for all these faces of me staring at you, all creepylike. I was aiming to give you the gamut of my hair color over the past few years, and instead ended up giving myself the willies. Let's just get this matter over with quickly so that we're not staring at my creepy photos any longer than necessary.

You, my blog friends get to help me choose my hair color. What with my current color fade, I'm currently somewhere near picture #2 - medium (but mousy) brown with some good copper blonde highlight chunky pieces. Here's the question - do I let my hair continue on its journey of fade-age to my natural color? (It's nearly there right now.) Or do I go back to a darker brown, like in the last picture? I'm keeping the chunky highlight pieces, no matter what. I'm just too attached to them. Plus they give my hair some dimension. Not that the frizzy curls didn't already do that, but I digress.

Your turn - weigh in on colors, please.
p.s. Loved the red, but it was way too much work (and money) to keep it a nice rich color.
