Merry Merry Merry!

Remember me? Yeah, it's been like 42 years since my last post, and to be honest, I've really missed writing. So, I thought I'd stop in for a quick hello and show n tell.  I have oodles to tell you, but that will have to wait for a time when I'm not comatose from sugar overload.  Til then....

My tree!  (Photo taken while the sun was blazing through the windows.  And, yes, I'm complaining.  Christmas weather sooo isn't supposed to be sunny, dangit.)

Ack!  Scary early morning pic of yours truly.  And while it looks like I'm still wearing pjs, those are real clothes.  I swear.  If only I'd spackled on a little makeup first.  But oh!  That board - that's the thing to pay attention to.  Right.  So, that is for making the Cake Pops.  Bo had it made, and it's lasered with my logo on the top side...

....And with mushy gushy Etsy feedback on the other.  Bo went and had the laser wood engraver burner guys do my sweet comments all over the board to make me feel good.  And feel good, I do.  It seriously nearly made me cry.

Another pretty photo.  I'm unabashadley braggy about the thing.

And little Rory.  I couldn't not give you a photo of her, right?

My Christmas here in San Diego was sweet and relaxing and peaceful and wonderful.  Exactly the way it should be, ahhhhh.   And I hope yours was just as sparkly as mine.

Celebrity Spotting

I've only ever spotted ONE celebrity in real-life. This guy:

What - don't recognize him? Maybe this will ring a bell. Here's on the left here:

No? Ok, this one might help refresh your memory:

Ok, so that's Meb Keflezighi. That last photo is of him winning the NYC Marathon last weekend. And he's the first American to have won in 27 years! But why do I care so much?! Because, he's from San Diego, kids. Yes, and I've seen him in real-life, out and about. On OUR running trails, no less. I saw the 2004 Athens Silver Medalist in the Marathon and the 2009 NYC Marathon winner running the Penasquitos trails. And, yes - he's ridiculously fast. Have you ever seen a 5 minute miler running trails? You don't see much more than a blur, trust me.

You should go read this quick article on him and his win. It's truly touching.

Go, Meb!!

Greetings, From Your Lazy Blog-Friend

Sooooo, the onslaught of excuses:

I was awesomely swamped with orders during the month of October. We're talking a gozillion more than in previous months. Hurrah!! And, whoah. Like, no sleep for 3 weeks straight. Not that I'm complaining. But, if I don't have time to sleep, I most likely don't have time to focus a thought long enough to blog something up :(

And then. Then! I got sick. I still kinda am, actually. And my cough is the opposite of pretty and nice.

But, I'm back. And hopefully not awol to that extent in the future. So, for now, here are photos of one of my projects this week. (I have 2 others I'm currently working on, and I can't wait to share photos!)

The one.... the only... Gobble Pops!
